Reach Out 2011

if you don't understand what this blog is about, let me help you. it is about creating a future for children so we can have a better nation with new generation. it is like a site for the NGO "Indigenes of Zion". so here are some pictures of what we do. this year we went to a rural areas to teach children who have less opportunities for education. I'll attach some pictures and videos.

i remember that in my last blog, i said i was going to post some of the pictures of the children in Orile that i spoke to. here are some:

MY BIRTHDAY...THEIR DAY

wel to God be the glory i was a year older. and i thought to myself 'there is no oda day to make people happy than today' so i decided to go to Orile. Reason being that all these while on my way to french class i always see these little boys washing windscreens while their mates are in school. i always had the aching to go talk to them so i did that on my birth day. well i wont say it was sucesful cos they tot i was a government worker they were scared.
The few i culd talk to said no money but their mind have bin poisoned. i wont rest til i get these children off the street. cos they are our future. i managed to take some pictures 'without their consent' cos they wouldn't let me. i'l upload them as soon as i can.

Mission Statement of the Foundation

Ministry to children is a high and holy calling. Children are an integral part of the world. Childhood is a very important developmental phase in the making of a person. There are so many dreams and aspirations in the mind of a child that remain unfulfilled even after adulthood has been attained. It is disheartening to see that the society has refused to pay attention to the plight of children. It seems that no one is ready to acknowledge and protect our future leaders. This is what indigenes of Zion is about; THE CHILDREN.

 The purpose of this foundation is to bring children into Zion, a world where they can receive inspiration and preparation for a glorious future. In the society today, most children in rural areas or from not so fortunate home have little or no value placed on education. Some due to their background have no plan for the future and more often than not they end up in the garage and other inappropriate places. Research shows that by the age of twelve, the brain begins to discard what’s not being used. This has to be taken seriously because evil influences take it seriously. We don’t need a rocket scientist to look around and find evidence of evil at work in our children’s lives.

We need to understand that “the future is not a time zone far away but the future is now”- Fela Durotoye. Whatever we do now is a foundation for what will happen tomorrow. If we are going to have a better generation and good future leaders then we need to start from the children.
